Join us for a day on the water of world class salmon and halibut fishing right outside the Ucluelet Harbour. We offer 36' and 43' motor yachts with experienced, local guides and can accommodate groups from the single fisher to 20 people. From families with young kids to the professional angler, we have you covered. We supply tackle, fishing gear and inflatable lifejackets for all our guests.

Private Fishing Charters

We offer 4-hour, 6-hour and 8-hour private salmon and halibut fishing charters for up to 6 guests aboard our 36-foot luxury motor yacht, the Avanti and up to 14 guests aboard our 43-foot motor yacht, the Nootka Princess.

Our Shared Group Fishing Charters

We also offer shared fishing charters for individuals, couples, small groups, large groups and families looking to experience a fun day of deep sea fishing in Ucluelet. Head out on the water for a 7-hour offshore fishing charter for just $199 per person aboard our 43-foot vessel the Nootka Princess.

Do you guarantee catching fish?

We promise that by the end of the trip you will have had an amazing day on the beautiful waters around Ucluelet. Please note that we cannot guarantee that you will catch any fish. Our waters are some of the most bountiful and pristine in Canada, and we look forward to hosting you on your next adventure.

Do I need previous experience to go fishing?

Everyone from complete beginners to those with years of experience are welcome to join one of our charters. You will receive instruction on how to use the fishing pole, lines, and much more.

Can anyone go on your trips?

Yes, most can go on sport fishing tours. All ages from babies, young children, adults, and seniors are welcome. We do recommend caution to pregnant women and/or people with injuries/disabilities particularly with back/neck problems as the movement of the boat may cause injury. The captain will have final decision before departure.

Are there bathrooms on the boat?

Yes, there are bathroom facilities. It's advised to use restroom facilities prior to boarding.

How do you locate where to go fish?

With many years of experience in the waters around Ucluelet, Cameron Ocean Adventures knows all the best locations to find salmon and halibut.

What is the proper attire?

Guests are advised to dress warmly for their day on the ocean. Wear pants, or trousers and bring a sweatshirt. Please bring a jacket to help break the wind. We do not recommend wearing open-toed shoes or sandals.

Is there a "best time" to go sport fishing?

There is no "best time" to go sport fishing - we offer tours at all times of the day.

What happens if I get seasick?

Local pharmacies sell a range of medications and herbal remedies for use before you travel, that might help you manage your symptoms. If you do start to feel seasick onboard, we recommend that you seat yourself at the back of the boat and watch the horizon. We will make every effort to make the boat journey as smooth as possible, however, we cannot guarantee smoothness of ride due to the changeable nature of waves and weather conditions.

The boat captain and the fully trained, experienced crew of Cameron Ocean Adventures will be taking care of you.
